About This Project

We were fortunate to be referred to Ian & Krysta for a major renovation of a newly purchased home. After a few meetings and design modifications the plan was formulated. The renovation was to include two major phases that included three separate additions to the home as well as a complete interior/exterior renovation. The scope of work included plenty of structural changes including a number of support posts, walls removed, and steel beams installed for a more open concept. A ladies dream master walk-in closet was created with stunning granite and crystal accents. The great room was redesigned with a high feature wall with a linear fireplace and unique accent lighting. The kitchen and dining room were reconfigured to fit create an open atmosphere perfect for this clients love of family and friends. There was also two bathrooms and a laundry room added. The basement was opened up for entertainment and featured a circular shaped bar, stage, entertainment area and theatre room. The second floor has the had the bedrooms and bonus room altered, bathroom renovated, removal of a bedroom to create an open loft and office looking down onto the great room. A covered and screened three season sunroom and tiered sundeck was added to create a backyard entertaining area. The second phase was a huge attached five bay, two story garage complete with its own studio, second level deck, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room and hockey rink. This home renovation won 1st for Best Interior Renovation at the 2014 Awards of Excellence in Housing.
